Life is a Special Occasion -Hallmark

Last weekend, I had the honor and privilege of being a part of a dear friends wedding and standing by her side on her special day. We first met at Hallmark where we worked together for a year in high school and built a sweet friendship and made memories that we will never forget. The ceremony was beautiful and she carried herself with such grace and a more than calm spirit. She had a look of peace on her face which made it evident that she KNEW she was making the right decision for her life even though it meant that she would be moving to Denver, Colorado...away from her close knitted family. I was so thankful my parents were able to attend the wedding that day and getting to spend the Sunday after the wedding with my precious Mother on Mother's day AND my Dad was the icing on the cake! Will and I along with my parents attended David's Platt's Church at Brook Hill's on Sunday for an awesome Mother's day service where I was able to worship our holy God standing right next to my very own Mother. It was a special day and David's wife, Heather announced their news that they are expecting their 4th child in November. My Parents immediately looked at me with the look, "that's you too!"...did I mention how much I love coincidences such as these? Seeing God in the little things is so sweet. But what an awesome example of unconditional love David and his wife show as a family, with one child of their own, two adopted children and another on the way. God's will is so much better than ours and He orchestrates life so perfectly. Continuing on with the weekend...after church we headed to the famous Cheesecake factory and enjoyed and awesome lunch where I was able to give my Mom her first brag book with our most recent ultrasound picture saying, "Hi Honey!" She was so proud. The front of the book says, "Great Moms get promoted to Grandma's" and nothing could be more true! Life truly is a special occasion...

Here's to another wedding weekend! Don't believe me? I'll have pics to prove it in my next blog post...Love is in the air!
